Britons Getting Travel Insurance Bargains

A leading travel company has recently conducted a survey and found from the results that there are many Britons who are finding travel insurance and are amongst the best at buying bargain policies.

The survey by the travel company also showed that around 85 per cent of British travellers took out travel insurance compared to around only 75 per cent of worldwide travellers who take out the insurance.

These are welcome results after there have been so many other surveys coming out saying that fewer and fewer people are taking out holiday insurance when they are planning their trip.

However, there is unfortunately still evidence of this happening as it is being suggested that there are a few people who are not taking out travel insurance in favour of spending out on their flights and accommodation.

While around 69 per cent of British tourists try saving as much as they can on their holiday by purchasing annual travel insurance that will cover them for any holidays they take in that year. There are now only 11 per cent of people who are happy to accept the first insurance quote that is given to them, the majority will compare deals offered to them by various travel insurance companies and choose the one that fits their needs best.

In another survey, this time conducted by a leading insurance company, it was found that just over half of UK holidaymakers have admitted to not taking out travel insurance when planning their holidays.

The company also discovered that there are over two-thirds of British holidaymakers planning holidays overseas this summer.
